I 28F moved into this apartment a few months ago and decided to decorate my balcony a bit I added some yellow flowers and small string lights to make it cozy.
  • A few days later, my next-door neighbor came knocking. She introduced herself and mentioned she's been living here for over 10 years. Then she told
  • me the previous tenant used red flowers and no lights, and that I should "switch back to red so everything matches like before."

  • I smiled and said I prefer yellow they make me happy. She frowned and said, "You new tenants come here and change everything. The red ones looked better for the building." Then she
  • added that my string lights shine too much and I should turn them off after 8 p.m because that's how the last tenant did it and that she have lived here long enough to tell me how things are done.
  • I kept things polite, but I was honestly stunned. The next morning, one of my pots looked slightly moved, and the light wire wasn't where I left it. I can't prove anything, but I have a feeling. she's been touching my stuff.
