It's amazing to watch cats develop habits over time. This is something that you only find out over many years, watching, noticing, loving your cat enough to notice. It's like me knowing that my cat shows her belly more in the winter and comes to cuddle in my lap approximately 10 times more often in the winter. It's amazing.

It's the fact that they kept the water fountain all this time even though the cat had no interest in it that we love. They had no way of knowing that it would take three months. We wonder how long they would have kept it there.
