'She looked tired, hungry, and alone': Man finds lonely puppy while hitchhiking from UK to Australia, he finds her a loving family but will never forget the bond they built

The Cat Distribution System is widely known, but the Dog Distribution System is a rarer beast that doesn't show its face to many. It's our dream to find a puppy in nature and take them back home with us… and now, we see that someone else is living our dream! While documenting his hitchhiking journey from the UK to Australia, one man found a puppy in the oddest of places - 3800 feet above sea level on a mountain in Kyrgyzstan. he showed the lonely pup some love and the doggo immediately followed him on the 10-hour hike down the mountain.

They traveled together for a few days, all the while growing closer and closer. They slept together, ate together, and hiked together. But the hitchhiker knew how hard it would be to take this pup, whom he named 'Rex', with him on his journey across the world. Eventually, they came to a small village that just had a few puppies be born, and Rex immediately took to one family. The hitchhiker explained his and Rex's situation, and the family took Rex in happily.

Although his journey continues, he often thinks back on his time with Rex and wonders, even if it would be hard, even if all the cards work against him, would it be worth it to take Rex home with him? We think so. You don't find a friend like Rex very often in life, if ever at all.

Oh goodness, just look how fluffy he is. Growing up on a mountain, we would expect him to look much… rougher, but he looks about as soft as a pillow and as cuddly as one, too! That's a good pupper right there. Real best friend material!

Stooooooop! We remember when our puppy was small enough to carry on our shoulders. Now, she's way too big. She's almost 60 pounds! She loves her uppies, but we can't hold her up for very long.
