In this story, a daughter had an argument with her mom because the ring she had bought her to give her good luck as she took her college entrance exams was causing her an allergic reaction.
The mom was very superstitious and had taken her to an astrologer. The astrologer recommended she buy this expensive ring and wear it for the rest of her life to boost her luck.
However, the jewellery soon began to irritate her skin, and she felt she could no longer wear it. Her mom accused her of being ungrateful and claimed that the ring was rejecting her. The daughter reacted to this angrily, but she wasn't sure if she had taken things too far.

Am I wrong for not wanting to wear my mother's superstitious ring because I developed an allergy to it?

Commenters advised that the daughter wasn't being unreasonable.
