Sudden-World-2304 We need the story of how you became servant to not one, but five cats that you did not want lol.

RiskReasonable OP Hahaha okay. I would LOVE TO TELL YOU. About 10 years ago, I was extremely hesitant to add pets to our family because we had two toddlers and life was just crazy even though I'd always grown up as a cat lover. I was hesitant to take on another cat, but then came Lily.

Lily: not pictured above, but posted in comments, was a four year-old ragdoll who was needing a home because her mom and dad were relocating to Mexico and their house plan was designed to have a lot of indoor outdoor spaces and because of the region that they were living in, they were concerned about their beautiful ragdoll getting injured by dogs in the area. So they made the difficult decision to rehome her and we took her in and she has been our original cranky old lady ever since and that wa

She's very in tune with her people and very comforting. She's also my nemesis. She always pukes where I step. She hates when I have to address her old lady problems with appropriate veterinary care at home as advised by our vet. And a whole other lot of reasons beyond the scope of this discussion. LOL!

Todd (Toad): our beautiful tuxedo (who is my son if anyone was wondering). He is perfect in every way shape and form. He has never done anything wrong in his entire life. He climbed up the door of a small gift shop in a rural area that my mother-in-law owns and runs when he was a tiny kitten pre-pandemic. No one in the area claimed him so we kept him and it has been perfect. In fact, my love for him got me through the challenge of balancing pets and children, and made me realize how much I absol

After toad joined our family, I ended up adopting a Siberian husky when he was eight weeks old who is my other son (lol). And shortly after that, adopting another Siberian husky, who was a two-year-old rescue and they are the best of friends now. They are almost identical and it was pure fate.

You would think that we would be very happy with four children, two cats, and two dogs, however I went to adopt a third cat at the Humane Society, for my eldest daughter who was turning 14 (2 years ago)—and that's when I found Norman. He's the fluffy void. But it turned out that Norman had a sister, and I couldn't ethically leave the sister alone, so I just adopted both of them and that's how I ended up with twin voids. LOL

Finally, the last one - the little cow cat in the above picture. Her name is Andi, but we call her mitten and I have no idea why. Andi was only supposed to be with me for one night until I could bring her to the Humane Society because "five cats is crazy," but it was a long weekend. The Humane Society was closed and I fell in love with her, and there was absolutely no way she was leaving... and now I have all of them and I love them so much. Our family is happy and complete (and very full and bu

RiskReasonable OP This is my favourite comment. Although see the caption. There's a fifth- she's actually the OG. She hates everyone except for Toad (Todd, he's the tuxedo), and only then she tolerates him sometimes. I also have two huskies

OrangeBrainCell_Pro The void in the center also don't give a damn of op.
  • 14
RiskReasonable OP Oh yeah, that's Norman. He doesn't give a damn about anything. He recharges his two brain cells regularly. Always on his back, and preferably in the sunlight.

    espresso_fox Look at that loaf!
  • 17
RiskReasonable OP She's SUCH cute loaf. She's the newest. I ended up with her on Thursday before Good Friday and everything was close the following day, and I had every intention of keeping for one night ONLY until I could get her safe to the Humane Society. But then she was kinda adorable little bean, and there was absolutely no chance to leave my house. SHE IS PERFECT.

Glittering-War-3809 I love how everything is matchy matchy!!!

RiskReasonable OP Hahaha it was a total accident! This is our old girl (not pictured above) and she also matches. We also have two huskies that are black and white. I haven't "chose" any of my pets except for my boy dog! But they all coordinate.
