Entitled bride fines bridesmaid $100 for missing 'mandatory' spray tan: 'I have eczema, [...] derm said hard no'

Becoming an adult means realizing that nothing is truly mandatory except for death and taxes. Sure, people may try to get you to do things, but you don't have to. You might face the consequences of not doing them, but that's your decision to make. This is especially true when it comes to weddings. You probably want to do the best you can to support your friend who's getting married. You wanna be there for them and help make the day special. But there is a limit to how much you're willing to put into that. Weddings are famously expensive affairs. 

They cost a lot of money, not just for the people throwing them, but for the people attending them. It's up to you to decide how much you wanna spend on a special day that isn't your own. This is even more true if you are part of the wedding party. Real friends won't ask you to shell out more than you're comfortable spending, especially on optional stuff. And I don't know about you, but to me, a spray tan is definitely optional.

  •  I've lived my whole adult life without having to get one, and I don't plan on getting one anytime soon. I certainly don't plan to get one just to appease a friend who has an arbitrary wish.   • NYC-WhWmn-ov50 . 5m ago No way. I dont hace skin problems and I'm not getting a spray tan for someone's wedding! Not even if they paid for it which I'm guessing this Zilla wasnt going to. Cost of the dress isnt actually too bad considering some I've heard, but its still too much to expect tour BMs to bow to your every desire no mattet the physical, mental or financial toll. You can ask, you cannot command.
