Freezing Siamese kitten knocks on person's door, begging to be let inside from the cold: 'I thought it was my housemate who locked himself out'

Every once in a while, the CDS will manage to surprise us. Truly. And we keep thinking that we have heard it all, that no kitten delivery story could surprise us ever again. We thought that after hearing stories of cats falling through windows into people's houses and straight into their hearts, or stories about people adopting kittens via a Starbucks drive-through, and endless stories of cats just… walking into people's homes and getting adopted without question - we thought that we have seen it all, but alas, we have not. 

Apparently, some kitties have learned to knock. Really, we should be saying thank you about that. Maybe it's a good thing for them to learn how to walk. At least that way, they might stop walking directly into our homes without asking for purrmission. They would at least warn us first. They shouldn't worry though. Knocking will not stop us from adopting them right away and with no questions - just like the person in this story has proved.

    I thought it was my housemate who locked himself out, but turns out, it was this little buddy who came right on in. Got along decently with my dog, and now we're at the vet to check him out. We think he must have tried to get too close to a fire or under a car to try to get warm last night bc his left whiskers and fur are singed

  • And then there are still people out there who deny the existence of the CDS. If this is not some higher power working overtime to get this kitty adopted, then we don't know what is. Who has ever heard of a kitty actually literally knocking? No one. This… was meant to be.

    RoguePlanet2 Keep an eye out for "LOST" posters. Do NOT post about "FOUND: SIAMESE KITTEN" because you could just get opportunists.

    OP rampakslue Unfortunately, due to local laws I have to post/make proactive attempts to find his owner (if he has one). If you or anyone else has recommendations on how to do so safely and avoiding opportunists, I would greatly appreciate it. We can't legally keep him until I've tried for 30 days.

    OP rampakslue Yup, no chip. And that's a good idea . We were thinking asking for pics as proof. Maybe of his mother/sibling since he's so young.

  • If we had to put money on it, we would bet that this kitty has no other owner. Really, we're not worried. This one literally walked up to your door and knocked. You were chosen. That is obvious to anyone with a set of eyes and/or ears.
