So when I first adopted her, she wanted nothing to do with me ,Like-full on 'don't touch me, peasant' energy. I was basically her unpaid servant who provided snacks and rent.

Fast-forward a few months... ,Now this girl is obsessed with me,She follows me from room to room like a tiny furry security guard.

If I go to the bathroom? She kicks the door open like she pays the bills And the way she yells at me if I take too long to sit down so she can nap on my chest?? Ma'am please, I'm just trying to live.

Killbomb I brought in a friendly stray who had been hanging around my house for years. about 10 months ago who, while not standoffish, took a month or two to start coming into my bedroom where I spend most of time and jumping on my bed. She just recently starting jumping on my lap to take a nap and now that's all she seems to want to do...lol.

NYTVADDICT Apparently going to the bathroom without cat supervision is against the rulebook.

FiberlsLife Yup. I have my own furry barnacle, one of those that would happily ride around in a baby sling except that he weighs over 14 pounds and my 65-year-old back is not having it.

lenuta_9819 you described my cat but he was like that since day one, and it's amazing! cherish her and give her lots of kisses (and we can never use the restroom without hearing them meow for us)

jaded-introvert When our girls follow us into the bathroom, we always thank them for guarding us against the invisible house coyotes. My little void, our youngest, can be a cranky brat, but she almost always follows me from room to room even if she's only planning to nap near me, not on me.

sukki_ricecake719 I love this because that's exactly how I feel! They are such lovable creatures and their love healing in a way that's beyond measurable. So happy for you and your baby →

Brave_Cucumber... real. Our cat even as a kitten would be super independent. Now if we don't scoop him and hold him like a baby as soon as we get home, he'll try to trip us. And don't get me started on closed doors and his incessant screaming

buddhamunche This is so sweet, thank you for sharing My girl also busts the door down when I'm sitting on the toilet LOL

richknobsales Having a cat is like having a toddler. You will never pee alone again!

_georgonzola_ I adopted a barn cat 2 weeks ago and she also dont want anything to do with me. Always hides under the couch when im home. Doesnt want to be touched or even looked at. This gives me hope.
