    next night. Over the next couple weeks I made it part of my routine to feed this guy while I was onsite doing a patrol. It got to the point where he knew my car, and would come running out of the building to greet me when I

    arrived onsite. After dinner, he would join me in patrolling the site and follow me around the yard and through the buildings. I also started going down to the site on my days off to feed him. After a couple weeks it was pretty much decided he was coming home with me.

    I contacted the site owner and confirmed I wasn't taking someone's cat and got their permission to stage a capture. It took a little convincing to get my landlord (AKA My Dad) onboard with the idea, but about a month

    after I started feeding him I got everything in place. I coaxed him into a carrier, isolated him at home for a few hours until the vet opened and immediately took him in for shots, a general checkup and to check for a chip.

    Fun fact, I thought this guy was a female cat for the longest time. The vet confirmed it was a he, and was already neutered. While that didn't matter to me, I had already picked a name for him
