I'm currently a biology student at my university and wanted to share a cool adoption story for those interested in biology and health-sciences!

Meet Diana, my absolute diva of a cat. She was adopted out from a study regarding GM1/GM2 (a lipid found in neuron membranes) because she didn't show symptoms of the neurodegenerative disease they were studying.
  • 07
They are working to study how to treat Gangliosidosis and better understand other neurological diseases that both affect humans and cats!

(The cats are not abused or harmed in any way and research is ethical! My friend who is a veterinary student and works there is who told me about Diana needing a home!)

DawneyEosa OP, can you please show us a better picture of her tail? Is that really a grey-ish FLUFFY tail? She is stunning!!!

inspireddraw OP She has the fluffiest tail and it's SO SOFT!!

ojw17 Wow, the last picture makes it obvious she's genetically calico but I've never seen one with such few spots of color. She has to be like 98% white lol. You've got a pretty unique kitty :)
  • 12
inspireddraw OP What's stranger is that the thick eyeliner patch almost looks Siamese (which is listed on her adoption paper). She's got super interesting markings

Lost_Arotin What do you mean by lab cat? You mean like this? What do you mean by "they"? Are there other cat scientists in that lab?

    inspireddraw OP Loving this Ty

ForestFairyflo She's simply a stunning cat and those eyes are something else! Clearly Diana has decided to be dominant over her cat sibling, who is very cute too, by standing over him/her in the cat tree. With her blue eyes, elegance and name she should be nicknamed Princess Di.

inspireddraw OP That is her biological brother Dionysus (we call him dio), and we also adopted him from the same lab. He is my roommate's little guy. Each litter has a theme, and theirs was British royalty! We kept Diana's name and changed her brother's, who was originally named Charles. Her nieces and nephews are named after adventure time characters!
