Texan three-legged rescued service dog transforms her differently abled pawrent’s life by helping her choose independence over a jealous and toxic love, says: ‘She's made me smile more often than S ever did.’

Being differently abled in a world that is set up for the able bodied is really tough. And while there are some technological advancements that have helped make adaptations a little easier, there is still nothing quite like the support of a service dog. Not only are they really good at helping the hoomans who need them, they can also be taught to do new things which will continue to support their pawrents throughout their life. Not to mention that it is much nicer to be accompanied by a dog everywhere you go rather than some random piece of technology.

Which is why we were so happy for the hooman in this story who had to stand up to their irresponsible fiance who can hardly take care of their own dog, just to get themselves a service dog that would make their life much better and more independent. This is the story of how a pupper can change your entire world view, how a darling doggo can calm and cuddle a hooman soul, and more importantly, proof that when it is needed a pupper can most certainly make up for the loss of a hooman in your life.

Wow, this sounds like the basis for one of those surprise reality shows where they find a person who truly deserves something for all their hard work and effort and that something would really help them and then they are surprised with that thing. Except here it is a service dog which could genuinely change this person’s life, but ironically the thing that is stopping this life changing event from happening is their irresponsible and seemingly uncaring partner…? Honestly, we haven’t been this confused by the ignorance of someone in a long time.

Heck yeah, that is what we are talking about! There are not all too many people who truly deserve a doggo to this degree. But by gosh, this person not only needs a doggo to help them improve their life. But they actually see this helper hound as so much more than that and are fully invested in making sure that they have the knowledge to teach and train the pupper. It's so heartwarming it’s making us well up. Will someone just give this woman a dog already?!
