A little back story me (29F) and my husband (30M) moved to a new city with our 1 year old. We moved in on February into a duplex so we share a wall basically with our neighbor. Our neighbors is maybe in her late 40s early 50s and she has a daughter who looks to be around 20. We had an issue with her 2 months ago with her being the reason our water was turned off.

We share one water meter and split the bill evenly we payed our half she didn't. We didn't make it a big deal about the water because it was resolved and turned back on the same day. We've given a lot of grace considering she st......s w j and it seeps through that wall so you can smell it through our restroom and child's room. Her

dog barks in the middle of the night which keeps our child up. And she had a valtercation with her ex by our front door. I texted her at 10am about the situation she texted me back at 2:30 saying she's at a restaurant that was a 5 minute walk from where we live and she will speak

to me at 4 I checked in with her multiple times to make sure we were still meeting and I got nothing. My husband saw her trying to enter through the backyard to avoid us. And I can hear her in her home because thin walls. She finally message me until 5:30 and that is what I got.

    > 12:37 5G 82 it's your next-door Hey neighbor. I noticed this plug leading into your door that's underneath our window. I just wanted to discuss with you about this because I believe that that's our electricity you're plugged into. Please call me or text me or come by so we can talk about it

Hi Yesterday 14:39 I asked my daughter to unplug that until I had a chance to speak to you. I'm at right now, I'll unplug ASAP. And I'll come right over to tell with you..it's been the worst week and I + don't know how much more I can take. Text Message · RCS

I'm at my wits end. I can't take anymore. Everything is falling apart and my daughter WONT HELP ME. My electric bill is 2000 dollars because I went the whole year paying everything myself.

The water and the rent they stole from me has buried me. I have the rent money for this month and I'm going to switch the electric bill to her name, but I have to go to the property managers office first. I'm paralyzed and I'll be sitting in the dark again in about 2 hours. NOONE can help me. And I'm so tired, I can't ask anyone for anything else. I'll be homeless

Which is why I want to speak with you. I feel like we've been respectful neighbors to you and would appreciate to be treated the same way. If you could have simply asked us out of respect we would have worked some type of agreement with you. I understand you're going through hardship but we are too. And we feel like you plugging into our electricity without asking is taking advantage of us thinking we're just a dumb young

couple who won't notice. I understand you have a child you're taking care of but we have a baby we're trying to better provide for. You just disregarding our time, the severity of the situation, and our feelings makes us as well feel disrespected when we ourselves have shown nothing but respect and kindness to you. So from now on I'll be letting the property management handle these type of situations because you don't take it

seriously to communicate with us out of respect. I hope things get better for you I truly do. Have a wonderful rest of your night.

That's really hurtful. I had every intention on speaking with you in the morning, but I had to go in at 5:am. I'm not being disrespectful. I have major trauma and phobias regarding homelessness. I don't talk to you because I'm so embarrassed. Please understand that this has nothing to do with you guys. I just didn't know how to come to you to ask for help. The electric ha only been off for one day, and I asked my daughter to unplug so I could talk to you first. She fell asleep

and I've been dealing with all of this on my own. The plug only provided light for a few hours last night. I will be happy to pay you 100$ for that usage. My friend rented my car for the weekend for 100. That was what I was going to offer you, but my daughter is yelling at me for asking for help and Ive been crying for about 24 hours now. Please forgive me. I'm not disrespectfing you. I'm just so tired

I understand it's hard to reach out but even a simple text message would have sufficed. Communicating with each other goes along away. We respect you enough to go to you at your door and ask to use your parking spot because it's the respectable and neighborly thing to do. Im sure you can see taking with out asking is worse then asking for help. As for the money I will compare the electric bill to last month and send it to the office (they were notified) so we are all aware of the difference. I a

Wow I've been here 5 years and never had any problems with anyone. The difference in the bill will be miniscule. I hope you have a wonderful night.
