‘I just want to show them that miracles can happen’: After being stolen on Christmas day this scruffy Schnauzer was found 7 long-lost years later and tearfully reunited with original family

Dog rescues truly are like snowflakes, each one more unique than the one that came before it. And this story is no different from that snowflake uniqueness for here we have the tale of a darling doggo who got quite turned around almost a decade before it was found and could not find its home. And in that time it managed to cross borders between towns that are an hour apart and apparently was intent on beginning and education at the local school in the town it had landed in.

Probably because it realized that it needed to start working on stable ways to make an income. But that was thwarted quickly when his would be rescuer saw him heading into the local school. From there things quickly uncovered themselves as it became clear that the poor pupper had been missing for seven years and after his original pawrents were called all that remained was a tearful and heartfelt reunion. But that dog will remember his days living wild and free for the rest of his life.

  • Well, if we did not want to believe that this hooman had the doggo’s best interests at heart we would be calling her a speciesist. Because who is to say that a dog cannot and should not be granted access to a school education should that dog decide that is what they are interested in? After all, in recent years doggos are becoming more and more like hooman children in society, so why should they not be offered a formal education if they so choose one?

  • Holy moly, you might find it common place, or even expected that the doggo would be from the same town but a town an hour’s drive away is pretty insane. Then again this doggo had plenty of time to make that journey considering it was lost for almost a decade. Nonetheless the feat is about as impressive as they come and will certainly be one of this rescuer’s anecdotes for the next few holiday seasons at least.
