A pet store’s closure caused 100 puppies to end up at the shelter giving a prospective dog pawrent the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rescue her dream dog instead of funding a puppy mill: ‘Lo and behold, there were two Boston terrier puppies.’

Karma is an interesting thing and not something that we specifically see when it comes to canine adoptions and rescues all too often. But in the case of this story karma is definitely the unseen force that guided this woman's adoption journey. For after being turned away by breed-specific rescues for one day wanting a hooman child (compelete madness, we know), she turned to pupper breeders. Of course a less than ideal way to approach things but seeing as she was set on a specific breed it seemed to be the only way this woman was going to get her dream dog.

But even with the breeders there was always something amiss, something that caused the deal to fall through. That is until one of those breeders ended up getting shut down for poor practises and lo and behold, the exact kind of pupper this prospective pawrent was looking for turned up in droves at her local shelter. Giving her the chance to legitimately rescue a doggo in need of a loving and caring home. Proof that sometimes it is best to let karma lead the way.

  • See, this is the issue with buying dogs in the first place. You do not know what the breeder is about. Sure they might like dogs, heck they might even love dogs. But when each dog represents a pay day, then the priority of things shifts. And suffice it to say that when a dog is bred and raised in poor conditions you could end up with far more problems than you know what to do with and you paid a hefty sum for the pleasure of it all.
