Everyone has that one friend who always sends you the memes that perfectly fit your relationship. This list is dedicated to them.

There used to be five love languages: physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, and gift giving. Now, thanks to the rise of memes and social media, we suspect that there is another one that we all know about but have yet to recognize: meme sending. We all have that one friend who communicates exclusively with funny internet posts. Whether it's an inside joke that's pawsonal to you two, a meme that accurately describes your mood today, or keeping the group chat lively with adorable and silly animals, they're always the first to make you laugh.

These people are often underappreciated, but if you look more closely, them sending you 30 memes at 2 AM means that they're thinking about you, and they care about your unique relationship. They saw something on the internet, thought of you, and send it to you to let you know that you're on their mind. It may not be the most direct way of expressing your feelings for someone, but it is silly and we appreciate it, no matter if they're blowing up our inboxes at midnight or lunchtime.

There is an unspoken rule in relationships nowadays where you can both be in the same room, not talking, but interacting on your phones. It's weird if you take a step back and look at it, but in the moment, it feels perfectly natural. No other generation before us experienced such a thing, except maybe if both were reading at the same time, but even then, it's not the same as sending your partner a meme and waiting for them to see it. Is it weird, or is it just us?

We are this raccoon. We go absolutely feral for peanut butter pretzels, so much so that we had to stop buying them because we would just eat them all in one sitting without a second thought. Basically, we understand where this raccoon was coming from. Maybe don't keep such a prized possession in your car next time with the window open? Not to victim-blame here, but that was pretty reckless.
