Doing something like financially bankrolling one child while you make the other suffer is a clear action showing how you care more about one child than the other. Money can always cause dramatic ripples in any family dynamic, but this one was clear as day. They cared more for their son and his well-being than they did for their daughter.
Was it because he had a family? Or was it because they truly thought their daughter needed a lesson in struggling financially? Either way, they did not make it clear to them. Now, as the brother struggles financially and the parents can no longer help, they turn to the daughter, who they let suffer in the streets.
She will never forget what they did to her, leaving her scared and alone as a young woman just starting adulthood on the streets. She's simply seeing the consequences of her parents' actions, and she has no intention of stopping karma.

She was a struggling college student trying to figure out how to pay for rent and where her next meal was coming from. They disguised it as a "life lesson," all while bankrolling her older brother's life. Now, she's all grown up and making six figures on her own. So when her parents came groveling to her for money, she slammed the door in their face.
When it comes to parenting, it can be difficult to know when to teach a life lesson and when to step in. Sometimes it is obvious, and sometimes not so much. However, when it comes to dishing out the parenting life lessons, you make sure to give them evenly between your kids. You don't want one kid to feel like you don't love them as much as the other. Sure, it's only human to vibe with one kid more than the other from time to time, and which kid can switch off. But when it comes to love, you love them all equally.
However, these parents didn't seem to quite grasp this concept. Because when it came down to helping their struggling adult daughter, they refused. However, when their son wasn't even struggling, they bought him a house, a car, rental properties, and then some. All while their younger daughter was trying to figure out how to afford groceries.
Perhaps the life lesson kind of worked though, because now she's grown and making six figures. The resentment towards her unhelpful parents, however, is also strong…
