Despite popular belief, if done correctly, it's actually healthy to introduce your baby to dogs! Growing up around dogs has been associated with lower rates of certain allergies and asthma later in childhood, not to mention how pawesome it is to have a doggo best friend growing up. Dogs can also support early bonding, comfort, and empathy, teaching babies to be calm around animals and not be afraid! Obviously, all interactions should be supervised, and you have to teach your baby how to interact with your dog in order for this to work.

Here's a pro tip: huskies always think they're in charge. Huskies were bred to work with humans, not under them. As sled dogs, they have to think independently and make quick decisions under pressure, meaning that they're not always looking to their human for what to do. Just something to think about before adopting one.
