Animals in snow are simply majestic. Winter turns the world into a living fantasy fairytale and they are the little adventurers off to save a fair maiden, princess, or prove their worth in their own coming of age way. Snow makes landscapes look simple, but beautiful. They feel barren in hushed air, pale backdrops, and animals around them stick out like a sore thumb. Everything seems more deliberate, visible, and meaningful. Every paw print tells a story and every breath cuts into the cold like a spell. A lot of the magic lies in the contrast of seeing a beautiful, wide eyed, surprised animal amongst the pure white backdrop of snow. Fur against snow creates a visual poetry that feels ancient and instinctual. A big grizzly bear hits differently when it's in snow rather than a forest. It fills us with a sense of wholesome magic that we can take into our day-to-day.

The cold is only getting colder, as we fight through fits of snow caps, rain, and crisp winter cold air. Depending on where you live, the winter can be rough. Some people deal with being snowed in, or blizzards that last for days. And some deal with winter differently – sunny skies, light coats, and temperatures that have Nordic countries envious. These wholesome and adorable animals somehow tolerate the cold. They get a real kick out of the weather, the beauty of the white covered ground. Oh boy is it. Being a third wheel either can be great, or a nightmare. It all depends on the couple you're with. On one end of the spectrum you have the couple who should have broken up years ago. They seem to detest each other, and everything out of each of their mouths is just scathing insults at each other and the brink of fighting. And then you have the couple who's just too lovey dovey. Get a room you two! It's not polite, but you know they just can't help it.
