Entitled customer cuts the line at a coffee shop, woman gets even by accusing her of stealing her coffee: 'Um, there's a line?!'

This lady does not deserve to be caffeinated!

A friend of mine used to work as a barista in a coffee shop in a busy neighborhood for young families. As one can imagine, she came across plenty of colorful characters during her time there, from children who would run amok behind the counter to parents who just needed a little caffeine in their systems to get through the day. However, there was one customer who seemed to get on everyone's nerves, from other customers to coworkers to management.

This person, like the lady in this story, would come into my friend's place of work every day and cut the line in a rather unceremonious, unfriendly manner. Each time, she would pretend that she was in a hurry, as if her busy schedule were more important than everyone else's. What this customer didn't realize was that after a while, my friend and the other baristas working at the coffee shop found a silent method of karmic justice. They would give this lady decaf every single time, hoping that she would never get the caffeine fix she wanted.

The woman in this story would also be a prime candidate for that mode of treatment. However, another customer waiting in line decided to find another way to get her into trouble. After the lady cut in line and was cruel to the other folks waiting, the customer who shared this story listened carefully to her coffee order and decided to get the same thing. Not because it sounded appetizing, but rather, because she had a plan to embarrass this woman and waste her time in the process.

When the entitled lady grabbed her coffee order, the author loudly stopped her from exiting, claiming that she had stolen her drink. Obviously, she hadn't, but it sounds like she had the entire store on her side when she grabbed the order from the lady's hands and made her wait her turn.
Sure, it was a relatively minor form of petty revenge, and perhaps swapping her caffeinated order with a decaffeinated one would have been more cleverly sinister. However, the embarrassment alone must have been difficult for this woman to stomach, not to mention the fact that she would now have to wait longer than she was anticipating. Regardless of the method, she was served some karmic justice that morning!
