This story serves as a reminder to keep your distance from cats in the pet store, lest they attach themselves to you making it physically impossible for you to leave the store without committing theft.

It is a seriously impressive trick that you simply cannot see coming. We can only imagine that some cats throughout the years picked up on the concept that some prickly plants use to spread their seeds whereby they attach themselves to animals passing by and hop off somewhere else. And it is a genius way of making moves and as a kitten who just wants to get the heck out of a pet store it is super effective. All you need is to latch on to a passing hooman, throw them a few tiny and cute meows while flashing their sweet sparkly eyes and the rest is history.

The lucky thing for our hooman protagonist in this story is that they were sort of in the market for a cat anyway and so this kitten's clever tactic was received rather well to the point that you could very well argue that this had something to do with the Cat Distribution System. But that is a debate for another time, for now enjoy this tale of bravery, feline brilliance and wholesome adoption.

  • Jheez, we do not know how people manage to keep their cool in situations like this. It is as though the pet store knows exactly how to invoke chaos of the cruelest kind. The kind that makes your kids go nuts, while pulling on your heart strings making you feel heartless if you do not give in to the pressure that is being placed on your shoulders.   • Honestly, this is just such typical orange cat behavior. To go from being the dumbest, brainless creature on the planet. To using that as a smoke screen to get you to come close enough for them to attach themselves to you in such an endearing way that you are incapacitated. You feel so immediately attached and chosen, and at the same time so stupid for having fallen for this feline’s trick. And the worst thing of all is that you are going to adopt them and the tricks will only get worse with time.
