Serial dog rescuer jumps from car to save a runaway pup, runs miles, hitches a ride and swims in a lake to catch the dog with no pawrents who would later become her: ‘Little adventure pup.’

You may have thought that it's rather outstanding to save a single dog in your lifetime. But if you are the woman in this story, then one is simply a drop in the ocean. So let's dive into this woman's final dog rescue story which landed her, her first dog.

In most cases you would be right to assume that a dog rescue would have a pretty routine schedule to it. First the dog escapes, then someone sees it running and goes after it. Once the dog has been captured it is taken to a vet for a health and microchip check and from there either the pawrents are called or the person adopts the dog themselves.

After all, they did go to a lot of trouble to save it in the first place. But for one Denver woman this has not been the case. She has had several encounters with loose doggos whom she has managed to catch and successfully return to their families. But she never got to meet the dog that the universe chose for her in this way. Each time having to let go of a sweet canine soul she had become attached to. That is until this final escapade, where she met her furever pupper, in a lake…

  • Wow, on two rather incredible counts. One, we are floored by how many experiences of rescuing dogs this woman has in order to be able to regale us with such tales. It is outstanding that a person save one dog in their lifetime, but to do so for several and not even get to keep one is pretty incredible. And second, how on earth, as pawrent can you not be overjoyed that a fellow hooman has gone out of their way and made untold efforts to bring your pupper home safely to you? How much do you have to hate your life in order to shrug off that awwpreciation?

  • See, that is the thinking process of a seasoned dog savior. Anyone with less experience would very likely find themselves either jumping in the cab of the truck, taking a big risk, or not getting on the truck at all and looking like a bad pawrent in front of the amassed crowd. But this brave and well versed rescuer knew exactly where the line was and trod upon it with grace. At least to save herself the minimal embarrassment of looking like a bad pawrent to a dog who isn’t hers?
