I feed some of the stray cats in my neighborhood and when I was walking back up to the house he was just sitting in front of the door crying at me.

I don't need anymore cats, and my husband tried to get me to walk away. The door was still partially open and he just walked right in. It's too cold to leave him outside so he moved into our office.

My friends have been thinking of getting a new cat so I'm hoping they'll take him now that he's confirmed disease free and vaccinated. This cat that isn't mine is expensive and this is before we've even gotten to the neutering

Ohio-Knife-Lover $238 is pretty cheap to start out all things considered! I'm glad that you could do that for them already!

Bestey 1974 OP It didn't feel cheap lol, but good to know my vet isn't ripping me off
  • 10
Ohio-Knife-Lover Absolutely not ripping you off lol I find that peace of mind is worth it in the long run even if your purse/wallet cries a little at first
  • 11
Bestey 1974 OP Okay you're right. $238 is a fair price to see this little guy get into a loving home

My husband kept making excuses for my friends (and potential adoptors) not to come over. I finally just asked him if he's grown too attached to give him up. It is now our cat Pippin so I'll see myself out of this sub lol. I just wanted to give this update since so many people responded to his first post

Parking Dry1598 After spending so much in vet bills, your husband obviously became heavily invested in Pippin. I will see myself out. But before I go, congratulations on your new kitty. He is gorgeous!

Bestey 1974 OP The expenses have just begun lol. Now we've got boosters and a neutering to pay for but he's worth it

Mollytovcocktail1111 Aawwww we love a man who falls in love with cats and can't let them go lol. Do you and your husband have other cats you have to integrate him with or is he an only child (so far ③ )?
  • 19
Bestey 1974 OP He's out of isolation and being introduced to our 4 and 7 year old male voids. Pippin is ready to play, the younger resident is interested but wary, and the older one is standoffish but resigned
