It really boils our beans to hear about farmers, people who work and live much more closely to animals than most of us just having no heart when it comes to their well being. Like in what world is it reasonable to get mad at a dog who is obviously lost and neglected for trying to feed itself? Not to mention deciding that the only other course of action would be to put the dog down. There really should be more sensitivity training in farmer training. This whole story could have been a heck of a lot simpler and less sad. Nonetheless we are thankful to our protagonist for stepping in to save the dog and the day.

It is rather funny how sometimes our greatest fears actually end up being the farthest thing from reality. Take this fear of our protagonist for example, there is no law that says a dog must be put down if it has no tags. All that needs to be done is for a tag to be inserted and the rescuer to claim ownership. Which would have likely been our protagonist’s wildest dream. But when we put fears like this into the world, the exact opposite often happens, as we will find out in a moment, the dog had a tag all along…
