Entitled woman tries to swipe gas pump in -20 degree weather by ‘prepaying' for it even though she wasn't parked their, ends up paying for someone else's gas: ‘I WON THAT ROUND!’

It is way too cold to be dealing with any entitled Karen's tantrum out in public; that is why we all have to work together to shut down the behavior immediately. For example, this situation where a Karen tried to make a scene at a gas station, but the attendant, manager, and other customers were not going to let her win. 

There are so many stories of entitled people pushing their way to get what they want. It's stories like this one, where the Karen gets put in their place, that restore our faith in humanity.

  • Sure, the fact that so many entitled people exist in the world of every shape and color is disheartening. Are we not all red on the inside? Why does this short-haired Karen, demanding to talk to the manager everywhere she goes, think it is her world, and we all just live in it?? Or this red hat-wearing truck driver who thinks he is allowed to jump the line at the store as if he can't fathom anyone else being in as big a hurry as he is?? 

    That really makes us reconsider the goodness of this society. BUT we cannot lose faith! For every male and female Karen, there is a good samaritan out there ready to stand up for justice.

  • She just puts her car into park and then I do the same. i take out my phone and pretend I'm looking at it.

  • the gas station attendant knows what's going on so he goes back inside where it's warm.

  • she's staring at me thinking I'm going to give in but, it's not in my nature!!!

  • she backs up and pretends she's going to ram into my suv. I just start laughing.

  • that infuriates her more. she starts her car and reverses just enough for me to pull up to the pump.

  • she goes inside and the guy told me she started yelling at them and giving them attitude and said she is going to pay for the pump where my car was parked and that they need to tell me to move.

  • he comes back outside and she comes with a smile on her face behind him. he just unscrews my gas cap and asks how much I want.

  • she starts screaming that she paid for that gas and that it's going into my vehicle.

  • I'm like, "lady you can prepay for a pump but that doesn't mean you get this pump right here." she screams that she wants a refund and the owner comes out and says, "here's cash, just leave." I get my gas and she is standing there and I roll down my window and say, "I WON THAT ROUND!!!"

  • All this “bla bla bla take the higher road" talk has really made a lot of unsung heroes take a step back. There is a time and place for that kind of attitude, but when it comes to dealing with entitled adults, that is not the time to take the high road. That is, actually, the perfect time to teach a little lesson on how actions have consequences. And if you can't handle the consequences, then you shouldn't be dishing out those kinds of actions. Will a Karen ever learn that?

  • FaagenDazs I'm a bit confused about the beginning, were you about to pull into the spot? Or you were already there when she pulled up? Like why would she want THAT spot if your car was already there? And why di the attendant go inside at all, if you were ready to get the gas?

  • OP therichauntie11 Yes I was on the left and halfway pulled up to the gas pump. She was in the middle and I was to the left. So half her car was in front of mine and the other side in the middle of the road. That's how far she was from the pump, I was confused for a second as to why she stopped.

  • There are most definitely many stories about Karens throwing tantrums all over the internet. It can happen at any time in any place! However, these stories should actually restore your faith in humanity, because if you simply scroll of the comments, you can quickly see that acting entitled is, in fact, NOT socially acceptable. In fact, most people would love to have the chance to stand up for a stranger in front of a tantrum-throwing adult. Bring it on, Karen! 

  • NewNameNeeded Again Good point. I'm in Toronto, and it's been unseasonably awful so consistently for months at this point. But at least it's Canada; we're used to it getting this nasty at least a few times a year, you know? In the US, there are a lot of areas that have been in the deep freeze that just aren't used to seeing temperatures this low, ever. I can see people assuming that the extreme cold only affects them, and therefore of course other people should just stand around waiting and free
