One major relationship red flag is blaming your significant other for something that was directly your fault.

Misplaced blame is often the culprit of most relationship arguments. Both egos clash with one another until somebody wins, and it's usually not a pretty sight. If you're not careful and catch these red flags early, you might sign up for years of entitled behavior coming from the person who should be giving you the gentlest version of themselves.

Take this next story, for example. A man asks his girlfriend if she has any boxed pasta he could cook himself for dinner. She tells him that there should be some in her pantry. It's important to note that she keeps gluten-free pasta on hand for one of her friends who has a gluten intolerance. Her boyfriend then grabs the gluten-free pasta, cooks it, eats it, and then gets angry when she didn't "warn" him about the pasta being gluten-free. This is why we read labels.   • This is what we like to call weaponized incompetence. Or, maybe it's just plain old incompetence. The woman's boyfriend is unable to take responsibility for his oversight, so he does the next best thing and places the blame on her instead. This is a classic case of being so angry with yourself that you can't even acknowledge just how silly you were to not only not pay attention to the label, but also to blame someone who had nothing to do with your oversight.

    If the woman decides to stay with this goofball after the stunt he pulled… Hm.

    Imagine accusing your partner of tampering with your food? Even though, truthfully… It was her food. He just didn't know how to read the box, apparently.
