There are many subspecies of cat photos that we enjoy. Truth be told, we enjoy every type of cat photo, from 0.5x close-ups to hilarious airplane ears ready for takeoff, but none of them have that purrfect poise as these silly kitties below. They include all the best parts of a cat (which is every part), but specifically they include their awwdorable feline faces, their purrfect paws, and the meowjestic pose we all know as criss cross applesauce.

We should mention that crossed paws doesn't make or break their gentlecat status. They can also be giving you a stern look, like a dad who is trying to make you consider your life choices, and that makes them a gentlecat. There are many signs of transformation, if you know where to look for them. As you can see above, there are two very dignified felines with uncrossed paws. And yet, they remain dapper.

Another rule that is impurrtant to mention is the existence of bowties. Again, regardless of gender, if your cat suddenly appears with a bowtie, they are already a gentlecat, or alternatively, a purrfectly handsome gentleman. They have all the qualities of a gentlecat without the crossing of the paws or the stern look. They are simply distinguished.
