A lot of overaspirational workers in the workforce might hesitate, wondering if their dreams are as big as their britches, but for me, if I could retire tomorrow and still live quite happily for the rest of my years, I'd say yes in a heartbeat. Yes, I may be a memeologist and spend my days scouring the internet for exciting new content, but even still, work is work.
Imagine all of the hobbies that could be taken on or the fun activities that employees never have time for. 40 hours every week is a lot of hours, and when spent feeling exhausted, chased down by management, scrutinized by coworkers, and cutting 5 minutes out of your lunch break to get ahead on paperwork, it's hard to imagine maintaining this pace for another 40 years before retirement.
OOF.
It's for this reason that workers need a reprise, which I gladly bring to you in the form of memes.

You may be one misstep away from handing in a fiery-worded resignation letter, but if hardworking employees quit on the spot, who would pay the bills? Employment is ultimately a means to an end for many folks, so imagine the relief of getting those ends met without the fatigue of clocking in and clocking out every weekday.
The clock moves slowly from 9-5, but on the weekends it flies faster than ever before. Perhaps I'm the first to suggest this, but let's imagine for a moment if we worked for two full days every week and spent the other day doing fun stuff. The fun would be endless if you had four days in a row EVERY WEEK to do what you wanted instead of listening to client complaints and customer gripes.
When was the last time you had four full days off?
I'm not talking about spending four days over the course of a 3-day weekend, obsessively checking your work email and replying to nosy Slack messages from your boss, I'm talking a real, four-days-no-workphone-no-work-talk kind of holiday. Could that be what bliss really feels like? If you're from the corporate world, customer service, hospitality, construction, the restaurant industry, or gosh, let's just say if you're employed, that feeling is quite the luxury to behold indeed. (No pun inteneded)
