20 Awkward Commentaries and Devious Comebacks From the Comment Section of the Internet

The sense of humor that is found on the internet is never more wicked than in the comment section.

The kind of thing that some may hold back on posting to their profile for all to see always seems to find its way under a post that somebody else makes, with a little extra spice added just for fun. Quite often, the wordsmiths of the internet find that their greatest inspiration is other people, or at least the kind of things that they see fit to post on social media. The world is a ridiculous place made even more ridiculous by being online all the time, and the average serial commenter is constantly reacting to that.

While their takes can sometimes be outrageous, and some of their opinions can go way past the point of controversy, the silent masses who keep themselves to themselves have to be grateful that these prolific commenters cannot help but spend their spare time being keyboard warriors. This is the stuff that is the lifeblood of internet culture as we know it, those who are always waiting for the next opportunity to perfect their next quip and win the admiration (or annoyance) of as many people as possible.
Any social media platform you can think of is full to the brim of individuals who cannot stop making comments. On occasion, though, it is nice to just take stock of the highlights, instead of automatically scrolling to the comment section of every post that you find.
