Rescuer races through a midnight rainstorm to save a box of week-old kittens abandoned by a busy road: 'I ran to bring them into the safe confines of the house.'

Every cat person who sees an abandoned litter of kittens has a sense of action raised in their hearts like a lioness protecting her cubs. And this person is no different with the four kittens they've found.

It's impossible to stay indifferent in the face of kittens in need. When these small creatures with even smaller meows are lost, abandoned, and left for their fate - all human hearts feel their pain. But then there are the people of action, the cat people whose love for cats is stronger than anything. It's almost like the Cat Distribution System instills in them the courage, drive, and tenacity needed to make sure the kittens arrive somewhere safe, ideally to a forever home. And this person didn't just rescue the kittens, they also adopted all four of them into their home, making them part of their family.

And on top of the already cute rescue mission (that had its own complications of weather and time), the names this family chose for these kittens are even cuter. Cat naming is a tough job - but, apparently, not when it comes to geek pawrents. You see, when you're a true geek with a strong passion for a franchise full of great characters, you have a lot of choices of who to name your pets after. Just like this one pawrent who decided to name their kitten after a Star Wars character, these kittens' new family decided to name them all after The Lord of the Rings hobbits. That's double dedication - both for the kittens saved, and the franchise loyalty.

To be honest, despite us being rather expawrt about cats (if we dare to say so ourselves), we never knew this multi-feeder device for kittens existed. And truly, it's genius. It doesn't explicitly state if this person had it in advance or that they deliberately bought it for these four floofballs, but either way - it's such an awesome and efficient way to feed these tiny kittens the milk they need.

Justice for Sam! If they adopted four kittens and named them Frodo, Bilbo, Merry, and Pippin, it's almost as if there's something missing. To be honest, we'd name one Samwise instead of Bilbo, to follow the fellowship's path, but we totally understand why someone would want to honor Bilbo by naming their pet after him. He's great.
And besides, it just means that this family is destined to rescue another kitten and name him Samwise. We will keep an eye out and see when the Cat Distribution System will send them one, and return here to give you the happy update.
