An Animation degree graduate turned content writer and a self-proclaimed meme-lord of the lady kind, Ayala is an avid cat mama of a void princess, gamer of both video games and TTRPGs, casual guitar player, and an all-around creative. She writes for I Can Has Cheezburger and Animal Comedy, which is the best excuse to look at cute animals all day long. She also writes video game reviews and opinion pieces for Geek Universe.
She adopted her beloved cat, Cassie, when she was just a teeny tiny month-old kitten. Cassie was born to a stray cat mama who abandoned her, because she was a very sickly and small kitten. A Good Samaritan from a building nearby tried to reintroduce her to the mama cat, but to no avail. They couldn't keep her, and this is where Ayala comes in. She adopted her, nursed her back to health, and named her Cassie after one of her favorite video game characters: Cassandra Pentaghast from Dragon Age.
Animals have always been a constant passion in Ayala's life. The single birthday wish she asked for when blowing out the candles on the cake each year was to have a dog, but her mom never allowed it (which means her mom is the magical source of all wishes to be granted or not, of course). But she did get to grow gerbils, guinea pigs, and domestic rats as a child (which her mom was rather fine with, obviously).
Ayala has lived online since she had a computer at home. Her favorite childhood memes came from YouTube's baby stage, when Charlie The Unicorn and Badger Badger reigned supreme. Today, her favorite memes consist of anything coming from Avatar: The Last Airbender and silly black cat memes. She's also an eternal D&D DM for her friends, running two groups with a great geeky delight.
