While we might not be able to adopt each doggo we find in the street, that does not mean we cannot give them temporary shelter until they find their furever home. At least that seems to be the takeaway from this roadside doggo rescue.

It is a curious quality in us hoomans, but for many of us once a good deed has been done in a certain domain it is as though we are fulfilled enough in that respect and happy to move on. But when this pupper pawrent came across a doggo who had almost been runover in the street they could not ignore the situation, they knew that in their heart of hearts, they had to help.

And so they stepped in for what would be one of the swiftest and sweetest doggo rescues. And sure, they knew that this pupper would not be destined to join their family. But that did not stop them from giving it all the love, encouragement and warmth it needed to begin healing from its emotional scars. Proof that it is more than worth it to stick your proverbial paw out and help even if it is not furever, your help will leave an everlasting impression.

Well, that sure went a lot smoother than one might come to expect from a roadside rescue. Though that can be the case when a poor pupper is exposed to such a shocking event as a car collision. We can only assume that this sweetheart was so mortified by almost getting mown over that she could not think to move. She was literally frozen in place by fear. At least it allowed for a swift and simple rescue as a doggo who had lost their mind from such a fright might very well have not reacted well to being picked up and plonked in the back seat of a car.

This is honestly the most heart breaking part of all this story. For a doggo to be so worried about being allowed into a home is so rare to come across. It shows a worrying amount of trauma surrounding someone chasing this pupper out of her home. Leaving her with the feeling that she is not allowed in inside spaces at all. Not even one that she is being so politely invited to enter by both hoomans and doggos. It is quite a sad thing to see and we hope she learns to trust again.
