We found this little pit mix on the side of the road in rural Texas. He nearly got hit by the car in front of me.

So I stopped and put my hazards on and saw him curled up shaking in the grass next to the road. I let him sniff me and he was huddled down so I picked him up and put him in my car.

We were coming home from a road trip and didn't have room in our car, but I couldn't leave the baby, luckily he curled up on a cat

a chip and he wasn't chipped and they didn't recognize him. The only shelter nearby was a kl shelter and I couldn't leave him there with that risk.

He had that orange collar on so was worried about it. He was so trusting, literally laid down and let me pick him up and put him in my car. Luckily we

Kelso11987 OF After we got the all clear from the emergency vet we introduced them! My female pit loves her "energetic young boyfriends" according to her daycare and she's been very much trying to get the puppy to play. She does puppy bows and kinda eggs him on, but he'll cower a bit near me or my husband or under a chair. But he sat and watched super excitedly as the other two dogs had Zoomies around the yard. He started following our other dog around the yard too.

You may be right about him not bring around other dogs before. At least he seems open to it. We put him in a crate in a room with our big fluffy dog and he seems comforted by her being there. He'll whine a bit when we put him in the crate alone, but as soon as she's in there he's calm and quiet. Emma is a very even tempered dog so I can imagine she's a calming presence.

My pit, Abbie, has resource guarding tendencies. It works out well with Emma, and we've spent a lot of time with trainers working with her. But something we're being very mindful of with the puppy. Backyard is easy though.
