It's so purrfectly karmic of them to keep the new momma cat. Older cats have a much harder time getting adopted, so it only makes sense that they, with their heart of gold, would keep the one who would get the least amount of love. We have a feeling we would do the same.

Knowing how quickly a colony of cats can grow, it's not as common as you might think to continually find cats from the same family. But, thanks to them, it seems like they kept those stray births from getting out of control by taking the kittens and finding them families before they could be of age to make more kittens!
