Chubby cat Mr. Kitty finds the purrfect cat pawrents to adopt him after owner crosses rainbow bridge: 'I'll get a passport for him and he'll finally officially be mine!'

A chubby boy is a good boy…

It's not always easy for a cat to bounce around from owner to owner. It can really weigh on them, and be daunting to adjust to a new home, new way of life, new food, new beds, and new pawrents. But this little chubber did a great job with the transition. Very delicately and decidedly named, "Mr. Kitty," he really does live and breathe a certain type of beauty. They found him over summer after his original owner passed away. He's an incredibly well behaved boy. He used to be quite large, but since his owner's passing he's lost some weight. After taking him to the vet they saw he weighs 12.7 pounds, which the vet said is healthy for his size. His teeth are perfect and he has no underlying health issues. He's about 5-6 years old, and is working on getting his passport for his owners to take him in. He's a cuddler, and they've also built him a climbing wall. I really know what it's like having a chubby cat. My cat, Ty, is a bit overweight. He used to be smaller because he had access to the outside, but I've moved and now he's just in the apartment. I used to live in an apartment with a ground level courtyard, so he could play outside whenever he wanted. He used to jump up to high places where I couldn't see him anymore, but I knew he was okay. He loved to play with the birds, and if I climbed to the roof of the building I could watch over him from above. But now he's stuck in a one bedroom all day while I'm at work. I really wish I had more time to play with him, but it's just not the way it is right now.
