Let's be honest, at least some of us have probably been this person at some point in our lives, and maybe we were desperate or just disasterously disorganized, whatever the reason, we've hopefully come to terms with how frustrating this was for our friends and family who were just trying to help out.
And, depending on what your relationship is with the person, there's a point here somewhere where you should probably just say no thanks and walk awayIt's always a red flag when someone you have a loose connection with, it might just be that they're new to the area and don't know many people locally, but if that's not the case, you have to ask yourself why you were the one asked in the first place. Maybe it just so happens that you are one of the few people they know who own a pickup truck…if that's the case, you'll find yourself being asked to help people move stuff all the time.
This woman found herself slowly pulled into a disaster of a moving situation, what she had been told would be a 2-3 hour afair quickly turned into a full-day ordeal as one favor led to an expectation for another.
