It's sometimes so fun to be in the loop. When you feel tapped in with culture, you feel connected to the world. You can only experience a small slice of it in real life, but on the Internet, everything opens up to you. You can learn about what Portuguese pop stans think about the new Lena Dunham and Lorde drama. That is, if you're me and your feed is completely overtaken by teenage pop fans from all over the world. You can connect with anyone from any place at any time. It can be overwhelming. That's why you need to cut it down in the section sometimes. You can't take on all the world at once; you can take on your feed one to eat at a time. That's the promise of an algorithm: it only shows you what you want to see. Sure, there are plenty of pitfalls to that, and echo chambers that you could fall into, but there is also a good side to it. You get to engage with the content that's going to mean and something to you. It might make you angry, it might make you happy, it might make you laugh, but it was all put there just for you. But sometimes this hyper specificity can get a little boring. You want a taste of someone else's thoughts and interests.

This is what we've done here with this list of tweets. They've been culled from an algorithm that is not your own, but belongs to somebody else. Take a dive in somebody else's feed for a while. Test out the waters and see what comes up for you. You might just like it on this side of the pond. Then there's always more where these came from. All you have to do is keep scrolling and let the laughter wash over you. You never know what it is like in someone else's brain.
