Sure, you can work whenever you want, but there are basic decency rules when you share a neighborhood. You're not living on an island; you're part of a community, and you should set reasonable limits on your actions for the sake of other people's well-being.

Imagine having to explain basic respectful manners to your neighbor and getting that attitude in response. Instead of showing consideration, he was convinced he had every right to keep working as late as he pleased. Now that's a very questionable sense of entitlement.

Not the easy way? Fine, the hard way then. Neighbors ended up giving him what he deserved with patience and class. They tried to reason with him, but they got nowhere, so they decided to take the matter through the proper channels. Now their concerns were heard, and they brought the peace back to the neighborhood.

The only real outcome of his inconsiderate behavior is that now he officially can't work past 9 PM, in fact, not even past 8 PM! We'd like to think he learned a lesson, but he remains firmly convinced he's the victim in this story. Perhaps reality will catch up with him eventually.
