All it takes is one friend to find you in the dark and pull you out to the sun, and that friend can come in all shapes and sizes. Just like this man and kitten, an unlikely duo, who provided each other exactly what they needed during their respective dark times. They came out on the other side together and much stronger than before.
14 years ago, this wholesome man was experiencing a hard time in his life. He was going through a divorce and was living in his van, struggling to turn his life back around. One afternoon, he was parked at a local car park, sitting in his van, when he saw a car pull up and a driver getting out with a pet carrier in his hands. Out of nowhere, the guy dumped a small kitten onto the asphalt, hopped back into his car, and took off. Without thinking, the man in the van immediately called the confused kitten, who ran straight to his van and jumped in. She curled in his lap and purred while he reported the driver for his actions and figured out his next steps. There was no way he was leaving this kitten behind, and within minutes, it became clear to the man that this cat might actually help him make a change in his life.
Both the cat and the heartwarming man were at the absolute bottom of their lives, without a home, lonely, and confused. As soon as they met, they began helping each other build a home and a family, that lead to a happy, healthy life, something that neither of them had before. You can never know when you will find someone who will do that for you, where it might happen, or what they will look like. It doesn't even have to be a fairytale come true, sometimes all it takes is a car park in the middle of the day, and a little bit of pspsps.
