"She insists that she lives here now"
This blue eyed home invader has been hanging out on my back patio for three days. I discovered that three different members of the family have been feeding her. Betrayal! We already have four cats!

Our cats have been trying to talk me into letting her inside the house all day. They keep meowing at me, then running to the window to show me their new friend.
Her name is Cinnamon Toast Cat. Toast for short. She is probably pregnant. She is curled up in my lap. The other cats didn't react to her coming inside at all and they now act like she has always lived here. I give up.

Clearly you lost the war before you even knew it started. The cats were already working behind the scenes, acting normal while secretly recruiting. Total betrayal. They didn’t just accept her, they brought in a new ally. Now she’s inside, settled, and the numbers are growing. Give it a little time and the whole place is going to be fully taken over. You’re not running the house anymore, you’re just living in it.

In my experience, my cat is always right and I am always wrong. Best of luck to you.

Yeah, cats, not you, decide who gets to live in their house. I love how your cats urged you to bring her in. What a sweet bunch! 😊

Feels like the other cats really wanted her there. They kept hanging by the window, making noise, going back to check on her instead of losing interest. No territorial behavior at all, which is already unusual. Most cats would have made it clear if they weren’t into it.
Then she came inside and just fit in. No reaction, no buildup, nothing to work through.
It comes off less like she showed up and more like they were ready for her.

Tough crowd. You’ve been outvoted by all of your human and pet family. She is beautiful and you are a wonderful human ❤️

You THOUGHT you already had four cats. The truth is you had five. You just didn’t realize it! 😂

Every pawrent knows the correct number of cats is always one more than what you currently have. It doesn’t matter how many are already in the house, somehow there’s always space for another. You think you’ve hit your limit, then one more shows up and suddenly the number shifts. It stops feeling like too many and starts feeling like it fits. The count keeps going up, and it always seems to work out that way.

You HAD to give up. Those eyes, or those whiskers, hypnotized you!
