'This is the first kitten I have received directly from the system': Tiny black street kitten rescued from traffic outside husband’s job becomes cat number six after instantly bonding with him

They were set on five, then one more showed up anyway.

A tiny kitten in the middle of the street turned into cat number six really quickly. She was spotted outside the husband's job, and a coworker actually ran into traffic to grab her, which already makes it feel less like a random find and more like something that had to happen. Once she was in someone's hands and on the way to the vet, things were already moving.

The husband got attached right away, which didn't exactly help the "no more cats" plan. She's small, clearly okay, and already comfortable being handled, which makes it even harder to think about sending her anywhere else. The vet visit confirmed she's fine, no injuries, so now she's just a healthy kitten sitting there needing a place to land.

There's already a pattern here. What was supposed to be adopting one cat before turned into three from a warehouse litter, so this kind of thing isn't new. It's just happening again in a slightly different way. The CDS keeps delivering.

Now it's a solid black kitten, no markings at all, which always stands out. Tiny, safe, already being held and looked after. It doesn't really feel like a big decision in the moment, more like she showed up, got picked up, and the rest followed naturally.

First Baby Delivery via direct CDS!
This little one was spotted in the street outside my husband's job. His coworker ran into traffic to rescue it from the cars. Seems the hubby immediately bonded with it, despite me asking for *another* cat. So at this point it's looking like this little baby will be kitty cat #6 in the family.

I believe it's a girl. I'm at the vet right now and she's being looked at, so I'll have an update soon. Thankfully, no injuries!
I have two cats right now that I got indirectly through the CDS. An acquaintance found a litter abandoned in a warehouse at his job, but he couldn't keep them. I went to adopt one...and ended up with three! Sadly, the runt of the litter passed away a few years ago (my beloved baby Lyona) but I still have the twins. But this is the first kitten I have received directly from the system. So excited!! She is a pure void. Not a single spot of white!!

Putting this cat next to a can of soda is wild. It’s basically the same size, just sitting there like that’s normal. You forget how small kittens are until you see it like this. The head barely clears the top, the paws look tiny next to it, and the whole thing just feels unreal. It looks like something you could pick up with one hand without even trying.

You didn't realize that there was a void in your home until this lovely void filled it.
There’s always space for one more cat, no matter how full the house already feels. You think you’ve hit the limit, then another one shows up and somehow it still works. This little void feels like it fit right into a spot that was already there. The kind you don’t really notice until something fills it. Now she’s here, and it just makes sense. The number went up, but it doesn’t feel crowded, it just feels like she was meant to be part of it.

Void cats are the best, honestly. Just a little black blur running around the house, then suddenly two bright eyes staring at you out of nowhere. No markings, no patterns, just all black and it somehow makes everything funnier. They pop up in the weirdest places and always look a little extra dramatic for no reason. Once you have one, you get it.
