"New boss. Changed the code on our break room and moved the break room into a corner surrounded by parking spots"
My break area at worked was moved to the parking garage. I don’t like car emissions on the water cooler, fridge and microwave. To be honest it’s mostly about that being my only source of water.
He’s put some cones up so the emissions are point blank shooting the break area

His office and break room was shared. He didn’t want a shared office. I understand the why but the “solution” didn’t seem like the right answer.

The break room is probably one of the most favorable locations in any workplace. It's where employees can relax, take a break, and calmly eat their lunch without having to think about work. In most offices, it's also the place where employees can become more than just coworkers and form actual friendships by having real conversations with people they see every single day.
If your break room at work allows you to do any of what is described above, then you will probably be appalled if you discover your new boss decided to move that important room to the parking lot.

Try to picture the conversation between this new boss and his employees after they got to the office one day and found all of the break room supplies down at the parking garage.
“Hello everyone, please note that from this moment on, your lunch breaks will be held in a tiny corner of the underground parking garage, while you inhale some good ol' car fumes and enjoy the calming sound of cars parking around you left and right.
In this new and improved break room, you will find the office microwave, water cooler, couches, and supplies… Enjoy!"

It about car emissions in an area where we are suppose to store our food, reheat our food and get our water. My main complaint is the water. I’d like my water only water source to not be in a corner of a parking where it has guests of a hotel coming and going all day.

He saw pictures and said that people are surprised but there is no legal obligation to give employees any of this and we don’t have to use any of this so this is all legal.

We hope the employees will not allow this insane change to happen, and that they will ensure the boss will get what he deserves for attempting this disrespectful act, all because he is too proud to share his office with his break room, or too dim to find a better solution to the problem.
For all we care, he can move his own office right next to his car…
