It does not even matter where somebody is either. Living room, parking lot, alleyway, grocery store parking lot at midnight. The second a cat appears, the pspsps automatically activates like a deeply ingrained human survival instinct.

Nothing gets a cat’s attention faster than a well-timed pspsps. The second those little noises start, at least one ear always twitches somewhere nearby. Some cats try pretending they are too cool to respond, but eventually curiosity wins and over they come.
