'The universe decided to drop a cat in my lap': Tiny flea-covered stray kitten rescued late at night gets emergency dish soap baths, loud purrs, and the cozy forever home she deserves

Tiny kittens really have a talent for appearing exactly when nobody is prepared for them.

A tiny flea-covered kitten showing up late at night and immediately getting named Duck after a dish soap bath really feels like peak Cat Distribution System behavior. Of course the universe waited until 11:30 on a Saturday when absolutely nothing was open to deliver one tiny emergency kitten covered in fleas and chaos. That is exactly how these things always happen.

Duck already sounds like she is adjusting to indoor life pretty quickly too. Two baths, some food, and suddenly the tiny little gremlin is purring like she has lived there forever already. Kittens somehow recover from rough starts unbelievably fast once they realize they are safe, warm, and no longer covered in fleas. One minute they are tiny, scruffy little creatures fresh off the streets, and the next they are curled up comfortably acting like the house belongs to them.

The name Duck also somehow fits perfectly. Tiny wet kittens fresh out of a bath always look slightly confused and mildly offended by the entire experience. Meanwhile the humans involved are standing there covered in soap and flea water wondering how they ended up in this situation so late at night.

At this point Duck already sounds less like a temporary bathroom quarantine guest and more like the newest tiny ruler of the household. One tiny purring kitten is usually all it takes.

You guys seriously seem like the purrfect match. The Cat Distribution System really did an excellent job with this one. Somehow it always manages to pair the right tiny kitten with the right person at exactly the right time. Duck already sounds completely safe, spoiled, and adored after just one night indoors. Meanwhile she gets a warm place to sleep, food, and people ready to take care of her. That's a pretty successful delivery all around for the CDS.

You may not have planned on meeting this little girly that night, but it really seems like she showed up exactly where she was supposed to. Tiny kittens always have a way of completely changing somebody’s plans in the cutest possible way. One minute it is a normal Saturday night, and the next there is a tiny purring baby wrapped up in towels after a flea bath. Duck already sounds completely loved, safe, and cozy, which is a pretty amazing upgrade for one very small little kitten.

Nothing is better than an orange kitty. Those little guys somehow manage to be adorable, chaotic, sweet, dramatic, and completely ridiculous all at the same time. One second they are curled up sleeping like tiny angels, and the next they are sprinting through the house at full speed with absolutely no plan in mind. Orange cats really do have their own special kind of personality. Even when they are causing problems, it is almost impossible to stay annoyed at those little orange faces for very long.
