How come dogs became the most precious creature on Earth?

There are a few explanations for why and how dogs became our best friends, the floofy angels we don't deserve, the most precious creatures we've ever seen. Dog pawrents worldwide already know this, but we're here to try and explain - how come dogs are so cute as they are?

The most common explanation is that humans bred dogs for their own purposes. And to make sure the dogs are a delight to be around, humans and wolves needed to be friends. And that could only happen if humans kept feeding only the friendliest of wolves for millennia. Lo and behold, now these wild wolves of thousands of years ago are floofy poodles and loyal labradors. So, there's that.

But we like the other explanation. Dogs are actually angels in disguise. The universe made a mistake and sent us, huaty humans, the most pawdorable pooches, to be our best friends. We don't deserve dogs, but we can't be happier that they chose us to be their best friends. A person who has never had a dog in their life will never know the magic of dogs.
