Lonely cat wants a friend, his owner stumbles upon a kitten lost among landscaping rocks and now he has a new brother

It's not always easy to have two cats, but would you do it if it meant your cat was happier?

From Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem, a cat owner thought to himself one day, "I think my cat needs a friend." Sometimes our thoughts are more powerful than we realize, and lo and behold, there was a cat the next day. He had the windows open and his mom heard a kitten crying outside. They have some large landscaping rocks and the little guy was stuck between them. They immediately take him inside and gave him a heating pad, some blankets, and a bear Beanie Baby. When they first pulled him out, he didn't seem in the best shape, and he was lethargic, but he made a quick recovery. They live in the middle of rural nowhere and had to drive a few towns over for a Walmart to buy supplies, but then everything was okay. 

The cat is feeling much better, and they already brought him to the vet. He was tired, but other than that, nothing was wrong. They have a 1-year-old kitten already, and now these kittens can be friends. Sometimes we do the unbelievable for our pets, like drop $73 on a vet bill. But in the end it's always worth it.

  • It's so sad to think this little guy was stuck between rocks! How scary would it be to see the kitten there and how tired and lethargic he was. At least this owner and his mom were there. Imagine if they hadn't heard the kitten crying, it's a reality I don't even want to think about. It's hard to be a stray, but unfortunately there are so many out there.

  • This story reminds me of when I found my cat. I was out on a hike in California, it was a beautiful day. The air was crisp, and I didn't have a care in the world. But then suddenly I heard it, I heard the meows and cries of a desperate kitten. I ran towards the sound until it got louder and louder, then I saw him. I saw a cat stuck on a tree. I have no idea how he got there, but he was so frightened. Luckily for him, I love climbing trees. I put my climbing mode on and got him.
