This just in: Mattel is uploading all of the classic Barbie movies to YouTube for free!

Listen, I'm a 27-year-old woman who grew up with a boxy television and a rocky connection to the internet, which means that I absolutely grew up on the classic Barbie movies.

I watched them all, like Barbie and the Nutcracker, Barbie as Rapunzel, Barbie: Fairytopia, and my absolute favorite: Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper. These were my comfort movies; I would watch them every time I stayed home sick, I performed all the songs in my living room, and dreamed about what life would be like to live in Barbie's world. I truly hold so much love in my heart for these classics.

Which is why I got so excited when I saw Mattel's announcement. Now, don't get me wrong, I still have all my DVDs with my favorite Barbie movies, which I kept in the best shape for whenever I want a fun little blast from the past. But knowing that soon all these sweet movies will be available for free on YouTube is so comforting. I will be able to watch them whenever and wherever I want.

Full disclosure: I am listening to Barbie: The Princess and the Pauper soundtrack right this moment, which has the best music out of any of the Barbie movies in my opinion, so I am truly engulfed in the Barbie world at the moment, and I am loving every second of it.
