These employees got fired in an instant after making some mistakes they couldn't explain to their bosses. 

The hubris of some workers is eye-opening! 

Every office has that one worker who is like the glue holding the place together. They're everywhere all at once, they never miss a beat, and they seem to have the ears of all the higher-ups. 

None of these workers, no matter how deeply ingrained into a company they are, are permanently safe from getting fired. In fact, as you can read below, there are plenty of very small mistakes that can get you fired in an instant!

  • For example, a common way that a lot of people get fired is because they're caught stealing from their job. This one is truly baffling. Some folks will be making 6-figure salaries while lounging around in an office chair all day. But because they decided to pilfer a 50-pack of pens, or a pudding cup from the office cafeteria, they find themselves across the desk from an HR person wearing a frown. HR doesn't care how well a person is performing when they pull a stunt like that. It only takes one instance of theft to make an employer realize they cannot trust that employee, and just like that, they're gone by the end of the business day.

    That's not even the most ridiculous reason that someone got fired, though! These employees thought they were safe at their jobs, but nope…
