They say that cats come to us from surprising places. Well, in this story the place that these kittens are found in is not so surprising, however, they sheer quantity of kittens found, well that is.

In the stories we usually come across on Reddit's r/cats subreddit you might expect to come upon a box filled with at most 6 tiny helpless kittens. The modest size of litter that sends most hooman pawrents into a tisy trying to figure out what to do with the unplanned for children. And while this is bad enough in itself it is no match for the 12 kittens that this cat mom found soaked by the rain.

It must have been quite the sorry sight to see so many feline lives left to expire like that, but now that this pawrent had seen it, there was no turning back. She knew that it was her responsibility to ensure the safety and health of each and every one of those dozen kittens and that is exactly what she did. Enlisting her partner to run round the clock care and eventually find the purrfect furever home for each kitten in their clan. It is impressive when an organized rescue manages to pull something like this off. So for a couple of cat lovers to do is truly mindblowing.

Holy guacamole. As though it is not enough to be surprised with 12 feline babies in itself, to then be told that they would be disposed off if put in the care of the so-called purrfessionals who are meant to save animals is just too much. And regardless the weight of this responsibility this rescuer knew that it was hers to bear and that with the support of the cat distribution system that likely brought these kittens to her doorstep, she would also find the strength to care for them and find them loving furever homes. With the CDS there is nothing that a cat lover cannot do.

It is truly commendable what this couple have taken upon themselves and how they are handling it. After all, for many couples just having to bottle feed and express one kitten is a heck of a lot. It is a round the job clock that has you awake at all hours and constantly on edge listening out for kitten noises that signal your presence is needed. So to do so for 12 kittens that just came off the street and have who knows what extra problems is simply unreal. This is a truly special feat that these feline fans have pulled off and we have to believe that they will be handsomely rewarded one day by the Cat Distribution System.
