Disgusting Viral TikTok Trend Where People Cook an Egg on Matches or Stick Matches Into a Steak to Cook It Will Kill Your Appetite

Everyone loves a good cooking hack, especially if you're camping or in a pinch. TikTok is usually a great place to find some of those helpful tricks and tips to get your food cooking quick and tasty. But this viral trend makes most people say “wtf.”

The hack uses matches to cook two different kinds of protein. The first one that's really killing people's appetites is the steak one. This one initially started from a joke page, but escalated. Here people are taking a handful of matches and sticking them into the top of the steak. The hack is basically supposed to make it so you don't have to flip your steak and it gets cooked on both sides. But most viewers are not sure in what world that would actually work, let alone, taste good.

People are reacting to the steak hack in so much pain. When you have a good steak, why in the world would you ruined it this way? Steak people are very sensitive about how it's cooked.

Then there is the egg “hack.” This one might be even more bizarre. Here, TikTokers are taking a bundle of matches, tying them together, cracking an egg directly onto the matches, and then lighting them on fire. This hack is supposed to be some sort of camping “hack” for cooking, because then you don't need to start a fire to cook your egg. But seriously, it looks absolutely disgusting to eat.

Seriously, why though? The viral videos are gross to watch, but impossible to look away from.

This last one makes a little more sense, because the egg is still in the shell so it's more like “baking” it—but still…
