Are there any memes out there that are more relatable than cat memes?

When people ask us what our job is, we simply say "cat memes". Technically, we're in the "internet culture" industry, but because we eat, sleep, and breathe cat memes, that's the easiest answer. As cat lovers and meme gurus, we have a whole theory why cat memes are the best thing the internet has ever created. Don't worry, we're about to tell you.

Cats are the ultimate vehicle for memes. They can be fluffy and cute, or spicy and chaotic - everything just feels natural to them. Think about what you think the inside of a cat's head would sound like, if they could think like a hooman. Cynical, sharp, and pawsitively nonchalant, which is a purrfect combination for something purrrely hissterical. And then, pair their purrfect silliness with a hilarious hooman situation, you get a meowgical post that feels relatable to everyone and easy to digest.

If you're wondering what “chopped” and “cooked” mean, don't worry, you're not alone. These are a few pieces of Gen Z slang that we've had to learn over the years, and we will try to easily explain them to you.
“Chopped” is slang for unattractive, something poorly done, etc. It's like when we millennials used to say “fail”. Something that didn't live up to its expectations. You're chopped in your cat's eyes if you are a few minutes late to feed them dinner, or if you don't feed them some of your hooman food.
“Cooked” is even worse than chopped, meaning a complete and utter failure. Mentally drained, stuck in a bad situation, or even admitting defeat. To your cat, you're cooked if you rub their bellies one too many times, or attempt to lock them out of your room at night.
