Okay, I know having a good, balanced diet is important and good for yourself. I constantly have to remind myself to eat my veggies, drink water and move my body. But let's be real, there's genuinely nothing better than a good cheese. Actually, I take that back, give me a $2 grocery cheese and I will have a feast. As long as it's not actually rotten, cheese is objectively the yummiest food to exist. You can have it in whatever shape or form you desire. Shredded cheese on a salad, dip some apples on a fondue, put it between two grilled bums. Cheese is the goat food. It's so versatile, really think about it. Cheese rejects no one. Not one food category; entries, sweet treats, healthy foods, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, pasta, you name it, cheese will be on board. Talk about loyalty. Unmatched.

I have the ultimate pleasure of living with my grandmother. I know, I would be jealous too. And the thing about that poor woman is, she is constantly on a diet trying to loose weight (health issues, I know I feel bad too). But there is one thing she will not give up. Yup, you guessed it right, that is cheese. She will eat her tiny, pre-made meals, made by some company. She will avoid sugar, avoid bread, even honey on her teas, but there will always, always, be a pile of cheese on her food. Shredded cheese, slice of cheese, blue cheese. I am telling you, there's a reason they say old people are wise. Priorities are clear and so are her boundaries. Because no matter how bad my health is, you will not catch me giving up on cheese.

I am genuinely so intrigued by the phenomenon that cheese is. Please, if there are scientific brain studies regarding the human brain when eating cheese, send them my way. Is is the texture, is it the smell, the easiness of eating it? The possibilities that come when craving cheese are endless. Pizza, pasta, grilled cheese sandwich, hamburger, filled potatoes. Seriously it's unbelievable how many options there are.
I remember when I was in kindergarten, each kid was assigned a day to bring their favorite food and share it with the whole class. Some kids brought pizza, others brought hamburgers. Me? You guessed it right! I did in fact, bring two whole trays of different kinds of cheese. Looking back, that is such a crazy craving to have at 6 years old. I remember the slight deception on my poor classmates eyes when looking at the piles of cheese. There were a few grateful souls out there though, but I guess no one really appreciated cheese as much as I did back in the day. God forbids a girl knows what she likes from such a young age! And remember folks, never let a bitter soul tell you how much cheese is too much. It can never be too much.
